Chris Reilly is President of CIT Small Business Lending Corporation (SBL), a division of CIT Group Inc. (NYSE: CIT). With over $1B in annual originations, Chris is responsible for overseeing an organization that has been recognized as one of the nation’s leading Small Business Association (SBA) lenders as well as the top SBA lender to women, veteran and minority entrepreneurs. In addition to her line responsibilities, Chris serves as Co-Chair of CIT’s Women’s Leadership Council which reports directly to CIT’s Chairman and CEO.

Areas of expertise:

With more than 25 years of broad business experience in various operational and financial roles, Chris began her career at Arthur Andersen LLP in New York City. Since joining CIT in 1994, she has held several key senior management positions including EVP of Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions, EVP & Chief Audit Executive, VP of Operations-Inventory Finance, and CFO of CIT Consumer Finance. She is a Certified Public Accountant and earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

U. S. Banker recently selected Chris as one of 2008’s Top 25 Nonbank Women in Finance. She was also honored by NJBiz as one of 2007’s Best 50 Women in Business. Chris is active with several professional organizations including the National Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders, the National Small Business Association, the Committee of 200 and the Financial Women’s Association. She is also a Board Director for the Northern New Jersey Chapter of the American Red Cross, one of 12 designated strategic chapters in the U.S.

Outside of work, Chris keeps busy “looking after” her three teenagers.
